Geneva

Good news: David was able to drive us to Zurich despite his lakeside injury in Geneva. Phew, that was a relief to both of us! He is still a major cripple in a good amount of pain, poor guy. But we've had a nice evening in Zurich nonetheless. I took a short photography walk into the Old Town while he elevated his ankle and read a book in the hotel, then we had a nice Chinese dinner together next door. It has been a little sad to arrive in Zurich, though, knowing we are going to leave separately.

In the meantime, here are some snaps from Geneva:

Shopping! Geneva has some seriously great shopping. Not only the super-fancy stores, which are plentiful, but also so many wonderful little shops - pretty home stuff, clothes, stationery, antiques... if I had lots of money I would totally shop in Geneva.

The owner of this Ferrari parked at Cartier presumably has lots of money.

The Museum of the Reformation is right next door to the cathedral, but I hadn't visited it before. It was great fun for a history nerd. Most of the artifacts naturally centered around John Calvin, who was based in Geneva.

First edition of Calvin's Institutes of the Christian Religion, 1536.

Marginal notes made on Greek text by Theodore Beza, Calvin's colleague.

The Reformation Wall, centering on Calvin and his buddies and also including English and other reformers. It was built in 1917 in a popular park in the center of the city.
