BANBURY ROAD 1. 1485 (West Side) Nos 275 & 277 SP 50 NW 24/15 II 2. Built in 1831 by Mr C Brown, wine merchant of Oxford, in early Cl9 Gothic. 2-storeyed ashlar with 2 gables, and a castellated porch, and a Welsh slate roof. In both floors are 2 and 3-light "Tudor" stone mullioned windows with moulded square labels. (See Oxoniensia XI and XII (1946-7), 157). Internal alterations 1971.
