Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris Images

The Portal of the Virgin, dedicated to the patroness of the cathedral, was sculpted around 1210-20. The abutments of the doors have panels representing the cycle of earthly life. This is a detail of the right side of the central trumeau, depicting bearded middle age as part of a series of the ages of man. Credit: Holly Hayes. All Rights Reserved.
